SERENA WILLIAMS SAID that since she became a mother, she’s even more focused on helping to tackle the issue of domestic abuse. The 23-time Grand Slam winner is an ambassador for anti-domestic abuse group Purple Purse.
Serena believes that the only way a difference can be made is if we begin to “expand the conversation” to men and young boys, rather than just looking at what women can do about domestic violence.
The 36-year-old also added that the recent birth of her daughter Alexis has made her more determined to take a stand against domestic violence, an issue that affects 1 in 4 women, as her daughter may be part of that 25% one day.
